About Daniel 'Wash' Washington Pyatt
Wash & Mary were farmers and devout Christians. They were members of "Pyatt Hollow Church" that Wash and his father built. Cora went to church as long as she was able and beyond. They use to carry her out to the buggy and put her and her chair into it then carry her and her chair into the church and seat her in front. She always had a word for the Lord.
Wash loved to sing & tell bible stories to his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. He knew it well. Wash lived on the old homestead of his grandparents & parents all of his life except for the last 20 or so years, and then he only lived about a mile from there. All but the last 2 of their children were born there. Then they built a new 2 story house which burned down years later.
