Darwin Deloss Phinney

Darwin was in the Company E 94th Infantry Regiment Illinois. Darwin served 4 years for The Union and Mustered out in 1865 at Galveston Texas. He married Sarah Slown October 5, 1855 in Dane, Dane, Wisconsin. His military record has his death date as July 11, 1905. Darwin's Phinney direct family members are Mayflower descendents and also participants in the American Revolution. They had 4 children. Darwin and Sarah have two daughters buried in Gridley Cemetery, Emma Viletta Phinney Freed and Fannie Judith Phinney Sekedum. Their son John Horatio is buried in Fairfax Cemetery, in Fairfax, Osage Co., Oklahoma. Their second son William Albert b 1859 d 1861 is buried at the Gridley Cemetery.
