David Lee Ambrose

David Lee AMBROSE was born on the 25th of April, 1837, the son of Hezekiah AMBROSE I & Keziah LEE, and the second husband of Frances Kesiah LEE. He died after 1904, when he applied for a Civl War veterans pension in Chatham County.

He was the brother of James Hamilton AMBROSE (1846-1919), who is buried in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.

C.S.A. Service Record - Screven County, Georgia "Black Creek Volunteers," 1st Company B of the 25th Regiment of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry: Private - August 10, 1861. Elected 2nd Lieutenant May 5, 1862. Captured on march December 6, 1864. Released at Fort Delaware, Delaware June 17, 1865.
