Between then and 1850, I (Sharon Morehart) believe he moved west....is the David Cobb, cotton merchant, listed on the 1850 Census for Coosa County, Alabama....then went to Fayette County, Texas, ... married Euphony Hudson on September 21, 1856. ...marriage of short duration...as Euphana Cobb married John F. Cooke Nov. 21, 1858. David continued to live in Fayette County, TX thru at least 1880. His occupation was given as "trader" on the 1860 census, as "farmer" on the 1870 census, and as "land dealer" on the 1880 census."
