David Emory Grove

STAUNTON… David Emory Grove, age 91,widower of Esther Brenneman Grove of 1346 Newport Road, Raphine, VA died Monday, June 04, 2012. He was born on July 7, 1920 in Lyndhurst, VA to Isaac and Emma (Wenger) Grove. After 25 years, David retired from his employment at General Electric and fulfilled his dream of farming. He was always a "farmer at heart." Family includes two sons and their wives, John David and Christine Grove of Spottswood, and Paul Mark and Becky Grove of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Naomi Joy Grove, and Faith Lois and Ronnie Bryant of Raphine; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Emory Grove and a daughter, Jewel Esther Grove. David is the last surviving member of his immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 6 at 1 pm at Augusta Memorial Park with Rev. Max Bolin officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the children's homes at any time. Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Hospice of the Shenandoah at P.O.
