"David Kitchen was born in the 1850's in English Canada. Mother was German and/or Canadian. Father was English and/or Canadian. David immigrated to the USA in 1865. David married Martha A. Gates in Michigan in 1857. (Later in life, Martha married a Mr. Wright..) In 1883, their first child Charlie was born. David and Martha are said to have had eight or nine other children whose names we do not know. Then, in about 1900, in Michigan, their child Raymond was born. In about 1902, their child Mary was born. In 1910, they lived in Kosciusko, Indiana, USA with wife Martha, child Raymond Kitchen, child Mary L Kitchen, William H Gates and George Gates. Thee family was said to have been fairly nomadic; not living any one place for more than a year. They may have lived for a time in Arkansas."
