David Little

David Little Sr. lived to be one month short of 98 and had eight children.

David Little was born 18 March 1680 in Marshfield, Connecticut. His parents were Ephraim Little and Mary Sturtevant. David was listed as the third or fifth child (Avery, 131-132; McKenzie, 336). David Little became a Lawyer, practicing in Scituate which was across the North river from Marshfield (Dean, map; McKenzie, 132). He went over to Rhode Island to find his first bride, Elizabeth Southworth. She was born in Little Compton, New Port County, Rhode Island; this was a short distance from Bristol where nine siblings, including Elizabeth, were christened 29 June 1700 at the Church of Christ (NEHGR).

David Little married Elizabeth Southworth at Little Compton, Rhode Island, on 2 December 1703. They resided in Scituate where he practiced law until Elizabeth died April 10, 1754 (Avery, 132).

David Little married Abigail Bailey for his second wife on 21 October 1746. She died at Scituate February 5, 1775. David Little survived until February 9, 1779 at Scituate.
