David Look is the son of Job Look and Martha Butler. David married Hannah Nickerson on September 29, 1814 in Tisbury, Massachusetts. David and Hannah had no children.

DAVID LOOK

David Look was imminently distinguished for his hospitality, integrity and uprightness. He was for many years a state representative for the State Legislature and through his influence, a grant of three thousand dollars was obtained from the state for the establishment of the Duke's County Academy at Tisbury. Respected and esteemed by his fellow citizens and most beloved and honored by those who knew him best. He finished his course on earth and we trust has the society of angels and glorified spirits in the Kingdom of his heavenly Father. There are some individuals who lived more for others than for themselves. They are counselors to those who need council, consolers to those in affliction, a guided blessing, an aide to all around them. For the end purpose of their existence is to benefit others. When death removes such, it is a whole community which mourns their loss for they are precious treasures where every their lives are cast. Such a life was his whose death we now lament beautiful and devoted as a husband, fond, his memory will be blessed for the tears of his wife and the needy shall speak his praise and bear his testimony of his many virtues.
