About David Davidson Mitchell, Jr.

Birth is noted as ca 1807-- Source; Etheridge Book In 1840 census of Trigg Co David D and Celia had five children, and 8 slav es. His brother, Andrew George, was also living with him. In 1848, he was appointed surveyor of road leading from cadiz to rockcastle. (Court Ord er Book D, page 12) He bought several pieces of land recorded in the Deed books. After his death, Gordon B Grasty and Drury W Standrod were appointed adminstrators of his estate. Gordon B Grasty was appointed guardian of Da vid D Mitchell's heirs: James, Blake, and Sarah A Mitchell. Wm Campbell was appointed guardian for frewy, Josiah, Nathan B; George and Mary A Mitchell . His son, David D.H. Mitchell chose John M Grasty as his guardian.
