About David Daniel Redekopp
David Daniel Redekopp of Lacombe passed away in the Red Deer Regional Hospital on November 22, 1980 at the age of 70 years.
Born in Saskatchewan, he was united in marriage to the late Sarah Elsie Bruyndog at Penticton, BC, in 1937. In 1948 he moved to Alberta to farm in the Bluffton, Hoadley, Rimbey districts, until moving to Lacombe in 1965. He resided there until his passing. Mr. Redekopp was a former member of the Alberta Wheat Pool and the UFA.
Predeceased by his wife, Sarah in 1978, he is survived by: four sons, George of Clive; Fred of Lacombe; Walter of Clive and Albert of Red Deer; seven grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 25, 1980, at 2:00 p.m. from Wilsons Funeral Chapel, Lacombe, with Rev. B.H. Thackeray officiating. Interment followed at the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 507 Professional Building, Red Deer.
