 David is making the armed services of the Unites States his career. He is a Sergeant E/5 (RA 15 412 317) and has served in many parts of the world. He has been through the Leadership School and Military Police School of the regular army and has received the bronze star for meritorious service, the President's Citation and the Korean President's Citation. While serving at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C., he met and married Margaret Alice Rowell, born October 12, 1932, daughter of Charles Lamar and Annie Jane Rowell of Nichols, South Carolina. Margaret was serving with the Women's Army Corps, Private First Class, (WA 8-319-145) as a teletype operator at the hospital. They have an adopted daughter, Beverly Ann, born January 30, 1957. At present David is serving a second tour of duty in Korea. His wife and daughter are at her former home in South Carolina.
