marriage - 062/00 0001 - 07/01/1921, The town clerk's office, Dingwall, by declaration in presence of Annie Sutherland, domestic servant and Alexander MacAngus, seaman, David Sutherland (bachelor), coal miner, aged 38, of Crossgates, Dunfermline, married Margaret Ann McAngus (spinster), housekeeper....says they're cousins....aged 20, of 15 Shore Street, Hilton, Fearn Parents of David shown as William Sutherland (deceased), fisherman and Isabella Kinnaird, previously Sutherland, m.s. also given as Sutherland. Presumably still alive. Parents of Margaret shown as Alexander McAngus, fisherman and Christina McAngus, m.s. Sutherland, presumably both alive.

1911 census - 142 Backrow, Crossgates, shows Isabella Kinnaird, head, aged 58, Gaelic & English speaker, born Fearn in Ross, son David Sutherland, aged 31, also Gaelic & English, coal fire...something? Also born Fearn.

Death - 424/00 0488 - David Sutherland, coal miner, retired, married to Margaret Ann McAngus, died 3am on 05/09/1950 in West Fife Hospital, Dunfermline normally living at 3 Main Street, Halbeath, aged 70 years, cause was carcinoma of colon, internal obstruction and congestive cardiac failure, informant was D Sutherland, son, of 3 Main St, Halbeath. Parents shown as William Sutherland, fisherman (deceased) and Isabella Sutherland, m.s. Sutherland (deceased)
