David Trammell, 86, of Winfield, passed away February 24, 2008, at Summit View Nursing Home in Lake City. Born in Scott County, March 30, 1921, he was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Amy Cross Trammell; his first wife, Geneva Trammell; six sisters, and three brothers. He was a United States Army veteran; and was a member of VFW Lodge #5669 of Oneida. He is survived by his wife, Dellie Lowe Trammell; three sisters: Beatrice Peters of Chiefland, Fla., Alice Monesmith of Rochester, Ind., and Charity Mahan of Oneida; two step-children: Tony and Cary Phillips, both of Lancing; four step-grandchildren; special friend, Sonja Wilson of Winfield; and many other relatives. Funeral service was to have been conducted Wednesday, February 27, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Muse officiating. Music was to have been provided by the Heartland Singers and Vince Pennington. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 1.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at Perkins Cemetery with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #136 and VFW Post #5669 of Oneida.
