David O Wemple

David, 72, of Marshall, MI. passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Dave proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He married Bonnie Wellman in 1972. Dave worked for Grand Trunk Railroad for 25 years and operated as an engineer. He was an expert turkey and deer hunter, teaching many the art of hunting. Dave was a fully devoted Christian and most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie Wemple; children, Kelly (John) Porter of Grand Rapids, Tracy (Tim) McCarthy of Marshall; grandchildren, Tori VanOeffelen, Hannah Wheeler, Ally VanOeffelen, Caleb McCarthy, Benny McCarthy; and sister, Patricia Avery.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Wemple.

A funeral service was held, with Pastor Scott Loughrige officiating. Interment was at Porter Cemetery.

Family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to Crossroads Church and Ministries.
