David P Wilson was too young for the civil war but his brother went. (Story about the flag raising) A ship was wrecked outside comfort point area, it was given to him, he fixed it up and made a business out of it. A newspaper article said he amassed his fortune transporting goods to the south.
He also owned a store on Main Street Keansburg and railroad waiting room transportation business. his children were Jeanie Cole, Chester A, John, David jr., Alfred E.
