About David Wolfromm
David Wolfromm (1981 - 2019)
Brief overview:
David (38), a spiritual leader, and avid surfer, was shot on Scarborough beach, Simon's Town, near Cape Point, WC, on 8th May 2019, at 19h00. His attackers bundled him on the back seat of his own Nissan X-Trail and covered him with a towel. The two perpetrators then drove away in the vehicle to go and 'show off' their new car. They picked up two women, one of whom asked what was under the towel in the back. They refused to answer, telling them not to ask questions. The driver crashed the vehicle, and as soon as the vehicle came to a stop, the two women jumped out and fled down a dirt road towards a reservoir, where they hid in the bushes. They saw the men set the car on fire, with the bloodied David still inside.
One of the women was Jocelyn Claasen (27), a witness who gave testimony at the perpetrators' first court hearing. She was found shot dead on 2nd February 2020, days before she was due to give birth, and also to due to continue testifying at the second hearing.
