Davis Moore Grow

Born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, son of James W. and Mary S. Grow. Married Cornelia Flora Fletcher on December 10, 1908.

Davis Moore Grow (1882-1959), 75, of Interlachen died in a local hospital this morning following a short illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Masters Funeral Home. The deceased was a native of Buena Vista, Va., and had resided in Interlachen 10 years, coming from Charleston, W.Va., where he was employed by Carbide and Carbon Chemical Corp., as a pipe fitter. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cornelia Flora Fletcher Grow, Interlachen; two daughters, Mrs. Hary (Mary Ashley) Huber and Mrs. Flora Elizabeth Heckert, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two sons, Fred B., Mobile, Ala., and Fletcher H., Interlachen; and five grandchildren. Palatka Daily News, Wednesday, 25 Feb 1959. Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. in Masters Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ernest B. Spurr, rector of the Interlachen Episcopal Church officiated and after the services the body was forwarded to Lynchburg, Va., for burial. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Friday, 27 Feb 1959.)
