Aged 94 years, 4 mo. & 9 days; For 60 years served as Deacon in the First Congregational Church. Buried beside his wife, Charity (Judson) Hawley. He was the son of Thomas & Elizabeth (Gold) Hawley. He was a cabinetmaker.

Elisha died at Stamford, Conn. Sept. 20, 1819 AE 31.
