About Dean Edward "Tuff" Findlay
Dean "Tuff", age 92, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson.
Dean was born the son of Fern and Hattie (Floerke) Findlay. He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1937. Dean served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Army Reserves.
On July 16, 1949, Dean married Beverly Ann Braman in Milwaukee. Bev preceded him in death on March 15, 2007.
Dean worked in payroll and maintenance for the Ladish Malt Company for 37 years, and was a member of the Brewers and Maltster Local No. 53. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson, a Free and Accepted Mason, a member and past patron of the Martha Chapter No. 66 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Koshkonong Mounds Country Club.
Surviving are his 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother and two sisters.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Brian D. Findlay; and a sister, Joyce (Jerry) Boos.
