  • FOURTH GENERATION.
• TIMOTHY HATCH, born at Falmouth, October 19, .1695, and died at Kent, Conn., March 30, 1766. (?) Married at Lebanon, Conn., about 1716, to Deborah Newcomb of that place. She was born at Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, 1696/7, from which place her father Simon Newcomb, moved to Lebanon, Conn. in 1713. Timothy Hatch moved to Tolland, Conn., when a young man and purchased land there in 1721; and his name is found there until 1739, when he moved to Kent, Conn. In May, 1740, he was commissioned Captain of the Train Band by the General Assembly at Hartford, Conn. He was appointed by the Assembly Justice of the Peace for Hartford county, May 12, 1743, and continued to be appointed such until Oct. 1751, when he was appointed to the same office for the new county of Litchfield. He was reappointed until May, 1761. In 1743, he was chosen Moderator of the town. He was a very influential man and quite wealthy for the times. He was admitted to the church in Kent, June 28, 1741. (Taken in part from papers left by Edw. T. Hatch, deceased of Hudson, N. Y.)

• at Ballston, New York, Jan. 21, 1801. He married Eunice Beardsley, daughter of John and Keziah Wheeler Beardsley, born at Stratford, Conn., April 20, 1735, and died at Richfield, N. Y., Aug. 27, 1819. He resided at Fredericksburg, Dutchess County, N. Y., and kent, Conn. Richfield, N. Y., and Pawlet, Vt. He was a farmer.
