Hi,
I also descend from the Ingham family. Jonathan Ingham (b. 1727) and Elizabeth Chalker are my 4 great grandparents. Their daughter Deborah (1770-1851), wife of Timothy R. Hawley (1771-1828) are my 3 great grandparents.
I am in possession of the transcription of the fifty year diaries of Rev. Rufus Hawley, father of Timothy, above.
In those diaries there are three mentions of John Ingham and wife Lois Woodruff, during the late 1700s - 1. On Mar. 4, 1790 Rev. Hawley tells that he married John Ingham and Lois Woodruff. 2. On Oct. 25, 1798, Rev. Hawley mentions that John Ingham lost a child on Tuesday. 3. On Oct. 26 he mentions that he visited a sick child of John Ingham. On Oct. 27, 1798 he mentions that he visited the children of John Ingham who are sick.
Would you happen to have any evidence of the fact that Deborah (Ingham) Hawley was the daughter of Jonathan Ingham and Elizabeth (Chalker) Ingham? I need this proof for entry into Mayflower Society. Elzabeth, through the Chalker family, is a Mayflower descendant. Thanks.
