New Geneva, March 11 - Mrs. Delilah A. Crow died at the home of her brother, Jasper Clemmer in Springhill Township, March 1, at 10:20 a.m. In her 74 year having been born April 11, 1828. She had been visiting here for some time. On Monday morning was stricken with paralysis and gradually grew weaker till Friday morning when she passed away. She was a hard-working woman and a kind neighbor. Her husband, Isaac B. Crow, preceded her in death about 13 years. For a number of years, she has made her home with her children. Nine children survive as follows:
- Hustead A., Fresno, Cal.
- Manly E., Mona, W.Va.
- Frank A., Roscoe, Pa.
- Isaac J., Newell, Pa.
- Alpheus W., Speers, Pa.
- Mrs. Mary Robinson, Dunkard, Pa.
- Mrs. Lydia Hicks, Fairchance
- Mrs. Mariah Nichols, Fredericktown, and
- Mrs. Hannah Swagger, Smock.
One daughter, Mrs. Malissa Hagland, is deceased. She is also survived by 46 grand children and 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, and three brothers.The funeral took place Sunday at 10 a.m. witch services at Old Frame Church by Rev. Mr. White. Interment was made in the Old Frame Cemetery.
