About Delinah Warrington

"William Warrington came to South Africa around 1806 and worked in a tavern in Long street. He recuperated at his sister, Eliza Bell, residence in Bredasdorp before setting off to Hawston where he met and married Elizabeth Maria Henn. They subsequently moved to Hermanus , where he became the first Field Cornet. The first baby born in Hermanus was their child and they also acquired the first quitrent property in Hermanus on the present site of the Windsor Hotel." -
