Deloris K. Bjerke, a seamstress, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 72.
Her husband, Gerald, died in 1994.
Mrs. Bjerke was born Sept. 22, 1929, in Hatton, N.D., and lived in Vancouver since 1964.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Rutherford of Vancouver; two sons, Jeff Sorlien and Terry Sorlien, both of Frazee, Minn.; two sisters, Marge Thompson and Lucille Rehak, both of Vancouver; two brothers, Don Nelson of Vancouver and Albert Nelson Jr. of Portland, N.D.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bjerke was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She also liked traveling and going to the beach.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Private burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
