Dena E. Yoder

MILLERSBURG - Dena E. (Hershberger) Yoder, 89, of 2281 CR 58 Millersburg died peacefully in her sleep in her home on Monday, September 24, 2018.

She was born on February 23, 1929 in Holmes County to the late Eli E. and Fannie (Raber) Hershberger. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She was married on December 21, 1950 to Eli A. Yoder who preceded her in death on February 14, 2018.

She is survived by her 4 sons and 2 daughters, Levi (Esther) Yoder of the home, Henry (Katie) Yoder, Albert (Verna) Yoder, Junior (Ada) Yoder , Mary (Alfred) Yoder, and Katie (Henry) Burkholder all of Millersburg, grandson David (Dorothy) Yoder of the home, 26 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Amanda (Jonas) Nisley of Butler and Edna Troyer of Baltic, half brother Mose E. Hershberger and a sister-in-law Lovina Hershberger. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a stillborn infant daughter, a sister Katie Ann Miller, a brother John, stepmother Mary Beachy Hershberger, half brothers Sylvanus and Junior, 2 brothers-in-law, a stillborn grandson and great grandson.

Services will be held on Wednesday. September 26, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Yoder Residence with Minister Vernon E. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in Mechanic Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Yoder Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
