About Devlin Carton-Barber
Devlin Carton-Barber (1984 - 2011)
Brief overview:
Devlin (27), chief officer of Employment Wild, was shot dead at Glory Hill Country Manor, about 7km outside White River, on the night of Friday 5th August 2011. He and his wife, Jo-Anne, arrived at the guest house around 19h00 and were unpacking their luggage when he was shot.
American tourists, a father and son, were also staying at the lodge, who immediately returned to the States.
According to police spokesperson Lt. Col. Leonard Hlathi, men appeared as if out of nowhere and shot Devlin in cold blood. He was wounded in the chest and died in front of his wife.
