About Dimetrius Demise Ataahua Fakoya Toni Pairama

Kidnapped, beaten, tortured and killed by Toko Shane Rei Winter (aka Ashleigh Tonga) [transgender man who identifies as a woman with an earlier conviction for rape] and Kerry Te Amo. Four people were present in an abandoned Māngere state home when Dimetrius was repeatedly punched and stomped, forced to disrobe and tied naked to a chair with soiled underwear stuffed into her mouth, burned on sensitive areas of her body with a makeshift blowtorch, had household chemicals poured on top of her, burning her eyes, had her hair hacked off with a pair of scissors and a razor, and was ultimately forced to choose the method of her murder: via hanging or stabbing. After the hours of torture, she chose hanging. Her killers made two attempts to hang her with torn up bedsheets, succeeding on the third attempt. Two teenagers had also joined in the attack but have name suppression. The body of Dimetrius was concealed in a rusted steel drum behind the house at 308 Buckland Road. Described as graceful, pretty, charismatic and smiley, Dimetrius had a hearing impairment and functioned at about the level of a 12-year-old.

A teenage girl's body was found inside a rusty steel drum amongst weeds at an abandoned Auckland state home. Before her death she had been kidnapped and tortured. She was beaten, tied to a chair, gagged and her naked body burned with an aerosol can and cigarette lighter. Source: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/auckland-teen-torture-case-girls-body...

Eventually a picture would emerge that showed Pairama had endured hours of torture and beatings that included being tied to a chair, having her hair hacked off with a pair of scissors and a razor and her genitals burned with a makeshift flame-thrower before being given the grim choice of death by stabbing or hanging. Toko (Ashley) Shane Winter, 30, and Kerry Te Amo, 26, were found guilty of murder after a three-week trial at the High Court in Auckland last year. The pair kidnapped, tortured and hanged 17-year-old Dimetrius Pairama, whose body was found in a drum at a derelict house in Māngere in July 2018. A teenager alleged to have been a third party in the crime was found unfit to stand trial and will be managed by the state, subject to a pending High Court decision. This morning Justice Brewer jailed both defendants for life, imposing a minimum non-parole period of 19 years and 4 months for Winter and 19 years for Te Amo.
