About Ditlev Vilhelm Klein
Ditlev Klein was born on June 17th, 1885 in Copenhagen Denmark. He is a University of Copenhagen graduate in Architecture. He married Agnes "Mathilde" Caroline Weidemann on January 9th, 1914. He died January 23rd, 1952 in Toronto Canada.
As a newly married couple, Ditlev and Mathilde came to Canada in 1914, settling in Burks Falls, Ontario, where they lived for 7 years. He worked for Knight Brothers. They left Burks Falls for Campbelltown New Brunswick where he worked as an architectural draftsman, but returned to Toronto a few years later. They moved to a home on Warland Avenue and set up a Toronto Sales office for the Knight Brothers. In 1935, Mr Klein took over the Knight Brothers woodworking business.
They build a beautiful home on Doncliffe Drive.
Mr. Klein was Honorary Danish Consul in Toronto from 1925 to 1951.
