Private in the 10th Regiment of the Kentucky Calvary (Confederate side) while serving in the U.S. Civil War.
Based on information in the books "Biographical Roster of the Immortal 600" and "Immortal Captives" by Mauriel Joslyn, this man is one of the Immortal Six Hundred. Thanks to George and all of the Confederate soldiers for your faithful service in protecting and defending your homeland from the northern invaders. According to the books George died 23 Sep 1878 in Grenada, MS where he was rendering his professional services during an epidemic and fell victim to yellow fever.
Dr. George William Woolfolk was one of the children born to George Woolfolk and his wife Catherine "Kitty" Temple Tompkins Gwathmey. George attained the rank of Private in the 10th Regiment of the Kentucky Cavalry (Confederate side) while serving in the U.S. Civil War.
George was united in marriage on April 29, 1851 in Paducah, Kentucky to Angeline "Nancy" Owen. George and Nancy were blessed with the birth of six children during their 27 year marriage:

George passed away at the young age of 49 in Greneda, Mississippi according to family documents.
