Dolores A. Rice

Dolores A Rice, 72, St. Joseph, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at her home.

Mrs. Rice was born May 26, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of George and Lucy Hofmann.

She married George M. Rice on June 14, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Hofmann; and sister, Catherine Lowe.

Mrs. Rice was a homemaker. She was loved and will be missed by her family, friends, and special neighbors.

Survivors: daughters, Linn M. Rice, Overland Park, Kan., and Sandra L. McCloud, Arlington, Texas; sons, John M. Rice, and Andrew J. Rice, both of St. Joseph; grandchildren; Brandon, Jeron, Jonathan and Lauren Rice, St. Joseph; and Olivia McCloud, Arlington, Texas; and great-granddaughter, Jerzie Winder, St. Joseph.

Services: Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
