Don Brouwer, aged 94, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 30, 2017.

Don was born to Claude and Minnie (Neels) Brouwer, in Grand Rapids.

Don lived and worked in Grand Rapids as a draftsman for several companies, and retired from the General Motors Fisher Body plant. Don had many friendships and acquaintances throughout his life, and was known for his smile and warm personality. Don was a member of Alger Park Christian Reformed Church.

On August 6, 1943, he married Ann Leestma. They were married for 59 years prior to her passing in 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Roger and Howard.

Don will be warmly remembered by his 5 children: Ronald and Beverly Brouwer of South Carolina, Thomas and Martha Brouwer of Kalamazoo, Steven Brouwer, Renee and James VanderWerf, David and Robin Brouwer, all of Grand Rapids, 4 grandchildren, Katelyn VanderWerf, Jill Kamminga, Kristin (Bryon) Grohman, Michael Brouwer, and 6 great grandchildren.

There will be a private ceremony for the family, and he will be laid to rest at Grandville cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Home. ZAAGMAN FH 31 Dec 2017
