About Donald Joseph Klapperich
Donald Klapperich was born 29 August 1939 at Redfield, South Dakota, the son of Emil and Mary (Halfman) Klapperich. He graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1957. Donald served in the US Army from October of 1957 until October of 1959 and was recalled to active duty in October of 1961 and served until August of 1962. He married Donna Neu on 5 May 1962, at Redfield.[1] The couple moved to Rapid City following their marriage. Donald was employed with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for a time, served as Division Manager for the Sears Roebuck Co. for a period of five years and later owned and operated Klapperich Drilling and Don's Pump and Water Services.
