Donald Maclean

Biographical Summary

"Sir Hector Maclean, Baronet [S 1631], 2nd cousin and heir male, being son and heir of Donald Maclean, Collector of Customs at Montego Bay, Jamaica, by his 1st wife, Mary, daughter of John Dickson, of Glasgow, which Donald, was son of John Maclean, by Florence, daughter of (--) Maclean, the said John being son of Hector Og Maclean, younger brother of Lachlan Maclean of Brolas, the grandfather of the 6th Baronet. He was as officer in the army; succeeded to the Baronetcy 10 December 1783. He died s.p., probably unmarried 2 November 1818, at Hatfield, co York.
