In 1871 census, he was in school, living with family at 51 Keith Street, along
with grandfather's family and uncle Archibald & family.
In 1881, he was a Joiner, he and his family had moved to 47 Keith Street.
Probably working with his father. Not there in 1891.
Left Stornoway when he was 21 or 22. Ended up in Buffalo, N.Y. He worked on
the Great Lakes as a ships carpenter. Met & married his wife there.
Gravestone calls him Daniel? Also says he was born 1868
