Boston Transcript Mother of Simon Swig Mrs. Dora Swig, widow of Elias Swig and mother of Simon Swig, vice-president of the Tremont Trust Co., died Monday night at her home 81 Porter Street East Boston, at the age of 97 years. Mrs. Swig and her husband who was a teacher in Russia and followed that profession after coming to the United States, came to Taunton 37 years ago, a few years after their son, Simon Swig emigrated from Russia. They also had five daughters four of whom live in Boston and one in Taunton.

The Jewish Advocate, Boston, Ma. Roll# 005 July 1917- June 1920- April 1, 1920- from Brandeis University Library. Mrs. Dora Swig Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Swig, mother of Simon Swig, vice-president of the Tremont Trust Company, were held last Tuesday. Burial was in Woburn.

  Mrs. Swig died late Monday night at her home, 81 Porter St, East Boston, surviving her husband, Elias Swig, only 6 months. She was 97 years old and up to ten days ago had been in remarkable health for a woman of her age. 
  She is survived by her son, five daughters, forty-six grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
