Dorcas L. Wayland (CC Baldwin says Morland), was born 1787. She married with JOHN HENRY STOW(e) in Nov. 1808 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. He was son of Sgt. John Stowe and Sarah Gillett and born Jan. 27, 1787 in Milford, Connecticut.

Children were: Rebecca (m. Marvin Chapin; They kept for many years the justly famous Massasoit House in Springfield, Mass., a blessing for travelers; had two sons and two daus.----3 daus and 1 son found), John (m. Mary Case), William (m. Hannah), Harriet (unm), Mary (m. Phelps), George (m. Sarah Ryder), and Sarah (m. Shaw).
