Doris Hope Willingham

Doris Hope Holder Willingham Allen, of Richmond, KY, departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2006.

She was born in Bessemer, Alabama on November 26, 1926, graduated high school in Winder, Georgia and attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia.

Besides her children and grandchildren, her interests included friends, weaving, reading, knitting, golf and gardening. Doris was the daughter of the late Reverend Charles Bert Holder and Myrtie Brandenburg Holder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton T. Allen of Richmond, Kentucky, and four brothers William, Worth, Charles B. and Harry Holder.

She is survived by two sons, Renn (Angie) Willingham of Richmond, KY and Coe (Vickie) Willingham of Weston, FL; Three grandchildren, Amy, Chris and Matt Willingham; three step-children, Clinton S. (Vickie) Allen, Laura (Darrell) Weitkamp and Lea Ann Allen. She is deeply missed by all who loved her and all and she loved.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, KY. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Richmond Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton S. Allen, John W. Brandenburg, Carter Brandenburg, Mike Brandenburg, Branden Holder and Mayo Allen.
