About Dorothy Rosenblum
Arrived in New York on 7 August 1920 aboard the SS Polonia, sailing from Libau. Certificate of Arrival gives name as Dora Braudo.
"Dorothy Brody Rosenblum, Grandma Dottie, the only grandparent I really got to know. As a 16 year old from Lithuania, who settled in Schlater, MS, she was determined to lose her European accent, which she did, starting in kindergarten and going through all grades. She was a matriarch, a loving mother and grandmother and a very proud American, despite losing her 18 year old son, Charles Rosenblum who served our country in the US Air Force in WW II. She was the glue who kept our family together. I miss her often and her memory stays alive in the hearts of all who knew her. And for many who didn't including my daughter, her great grandchild, Dorey Rose, who is named in her honor." Terri King, 21 December 2014, posted on Facebook.
