Doyle "Pat" Patrick Spooner

Doyle “Pat” Spooner, 81 of Spirit Lake, IA, formerly of Pierson, IA passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at his home in Spirit Lake. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 17th at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Kingsley, IA. Visitation will be on Friday night from 5-6 PM with a vigil service at 6:00 PM at Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, IA. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, IA. The Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pat was born on March 17, 1935 to Burle and Lucile (Doyle) in Pisgah, IA. He graduated from Pisgah High School and earned his Accounting Degree from Creighton University. He was united in marriage to Susan Todd on June 19, 1971 in Moville, IA. Pat was a partner with his brother in the Pierson Implement Business in Pierson, IA for many years.

He is survived by his wife Susan of Spirit Lake, IA; son Michael (Marisa) Spooner of Norfolk, VA; son Jonathan (Megan) of Waverly, IA; 8 grandchildren and a sister Elinor Schendt of Fremont, NE.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Warren and Owen and 2 sisters, Joanne Spooner and Annetta Polito.
