Esther wife of Dr. George was a native of Maryland and niece of Benedict Arnold.She was of English decent.She was Roman Catholic but all of her children became loyal life long members of the Dunkard Church. She died 1861.

Both George and Esther Flickinger are buriend in the Flickinger Family Graveyard on their farm near Fairhope. They had seven children the last three were born in Sommerset County, Pa.

Sarah married George Kammerere, Glencoe Pa Susanna B married George Switzer Jacob G. married Christina Switzer Elizabeth married John Geiger, Sommerset County, Pa George A married Marie Strife, Fairthope Pa. [This is direct lineage.] Joseph married Elizabeth Frazier Michael marrried Anna Emerick, Benton Couty , Iowa
