Dr. Isaac Rice

Isaac Rice was born in 1823 in Kentucky. He was the son of Samuel Rice, Sr and Phoebe Hitchcock.He married (1) Celia Conley, daughter of Thomas Conley and Susan Jayne, on 29 March 1839 at Floyd County, Kentucky. He married (2) Malinda Spradlin Blair, widow of Britton Blair, on 2 April 1866 at Johnson County, Kentucky. He died in 1894. in Johnson County, Kentucky.

Isaac Rice was a physician by profession. He served as a hospital steward for the Union Army during the Civil War. in 1861.

He appeared on the census of 1880 at Johnson County, Kentucky, listed as Issac age 57, physician, head of house.
