About Dr. John Holloway
Exactly how and when he arrived in Virginia is a mystery. It is theorized by some that he first went to New England (relying on a listing of a "Jo. Holloway" on the "Elizabeth & Ann" to Massachusetts, departure mid-May 1635), but this allows him very little time to catch a coaster to Virginia and meet his supposed wife, the "Elizabeth Holloway" who sailed on the "Safety" in August 1635. Frankly, the timing looks ridiculously implausible.
