About Dr. Thomas Phipps
64. DR. THOMAS7 PHIPPS (SAMUEL6, SOLOMON5, SOLOMON4, SOLOMON3, JOHN2, WILLIAM1) was christened March 19, 1737/38, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and died November 05, 1817 in Quincy, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts.
He married MARY BRACKETT Bef. 1783 in Massachusetts. She was born 1751, and died March 07, 1821 in Quincy, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts. THOMAS PHIPPS (sometimes written Phips on the receipts of the Town Treasurer) appears to have been located as a physician in Hingham from 1765 to 1769 inclusive. But little is known concerning his history or professional career except that he had patients in the second precinct as well as in other parts of the town. He was a fine penman, and undoubtedly well educated. Tradition, which may or may not be correct, says he was a teacher as well as physician here. (History of Hingham).
A prominent citizen who in 1756 graduated Harvard and in 1810 was a physician in Quincy, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts Mary appears in 1820 at Quincy, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Links
