Makke de Myrtoun, Duncano Makke, Alano Makclouch, Joh. Makkelle, Dav. Makke, et D. Joh. Makcarkan notario puclico. Witnesses apud Wigtoun 8 April 1500."
Also a Royal Charter in Wigtown of 13 July 1500 names Duncano Makke de Craichlo et Elizabeth Adare eius sponse and lists property of Lonastir, Makbane, Mondibbird, Drummavernane, Crumlew in Wigtown. (Reg. Mag. Sig. xiii, 639 = Great Seal (1984 ed.) 2:540, item #2541)
Another Royal Charter from James IV on 6 Septmeber 1495 refers to Duncani Makee as a tenant located on the south part of town in the "burgi of Wigtown." (Reg. Mag. Sig. xiii, 392 = Great Seal (1984 ed.) 2: 481-482, item #2273)
