About ESTELLA LAURETTA Jackson
GEDCOM Note
Lauretta some would say had a very hard life. She was plagued all her life with illness. She suffered from severe asthma, had lost the sight on one eye in a childhood injury and was deafened at age 6 by a prolonged illness. Near the end, she was totally blind and in constant pain. Yet, her spirit and love of God, was always strong. She lost her own natural child in infancy, but she nurture and raised 3 other children as well as 2 of their grandchildren. She deeply loved her family.
She was very well educated having attended the Ohio School for the Deaf. She was musically inclined and played piano beautifully despite her hearing impairment.
