Eadith Mary Pfohl was born on the 20th September, 1879. She was married on the 13th December, 1902 in Saint John’s Church, East London by the Reverend Alexander Grant. (Witnesses S.F. Farre and Bertha Farre) to Eugene Daylesford Patterson, who was born on the 13th August, 1866 in Daylesford, Australia.
Three daughters were born in Middelburg, Cape – Edna Ambrose Patterson (a nurse), born on the 15th October, 1903 and died in Melbourne in 1927 as a result of burns sustained in a hospital whilst on duty. She was unmarried.
Annie Maxwell Pfohl (an Inspectress of Nursery Schools), was born on the 7th February, 1906 and lived in Melbourne – unmarried.
Alice Louise Pfohl (a secretary) was born on the 30th July, 1907 and on the 8th August, 1931 was married in Holy Trinity Church, Yew, Australia to Valentine Clifford Petty.
About 1910 the Pattersons left South Africa and sailed to Australia in the vessel "PERSIC", settling in Melbourne, Victoria.
Eadith made two visits to her relatives in South Africa. She died on the 19th October, 1958 in Melbourne, her husband having pre-deceased her in March, 1935.
