About Ebba Amilia Nelson
Ebba A. Washburn, 83, Vermillion, died Tuesday, April 14 in McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. Ebba Nelson was born October 16, 1903, in the Komstad Community. She married Oliver Washburn September 21, 1927 in Sioux Falls. They farmed in the Vermillion-Meckling area for 40 years. In 1964, they moved into Vermillion, where she was employed as a custodian at United National Bank until 1973. Mrs. Washburn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the ALCW and Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by three brothers: Eskol, Tempe, AZ; Elden, Beresford; and Elmer, Sioux Falls. Services were held Saturday, April 18 in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was in Bluff View Cemetery.
