Ebenzer Miller died in 1788 intestate and insolvant. Administration and inventory are in Hampshire Box 97 pages 97-56: (see link below). He leaves a relic widow Rhoda Miller in Springfield. Debts to the Benjamin & Herman Day, John & David Ashley, Jonathan Morgan, Roger Miller, Martin Miller, Solomon Miller, Asa Miller and others of interest. Given that four mentioned are his sons and others are relatives it is clear that this probate record belongs to this man and that he called "Jr" in records was the same man that married second to Rhoda Nelson after his first wife died. It is important to remember that in these days the meaning of Jr and III would shift as previous generations died. So while in fact he was the III of the name he was called Jr and his son called himself III. Administration was granted to sons Asa and Roger Miller.
