Edgar C. Bachman, 70, 2117 Water St., Ebenezer, died this morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital of apoplexy. He had been ailing four months. Born in Bachmanville, Dauphin County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Kate Groff Bachman. For many years he was employed as the secretary for the Consumer's Ice Co. He was an active member of the Ebenezer Evangelical United Brethren Church and Sunday School, a trustee of the church, and a teacher of the Men's Bible Class. He is survived by his wife Lydia (Barth) Bachman, two daughters, Gladys A. and Mildred E., at home, and a sister Mrs. Robert Keller, Sr., Elizabethtown. [Lebanon Daily News, August 2, 1958, Page 1]
