About Edgar Richard Roof
Edgar R. Roof, Sr., 76, died Friday, January 26 2001. A native of Mims, Florida, Mr. Roof was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and member and deacon of Norwood Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Anne (Bob) Barger; one son, Richard (Carolyn) Roof; one brother, Charles Roof; two grandchildren, Stacy (Glen) Clark and Richie Roof and two great-grandchildren Zachary and Natalie. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 29, in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Bill McCormick and Rev. Darrel Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
